Jojoba Oil - BAE 🤍

Why Jojoba Oil is everything right now (actually - since forever for us, but SO relevant today)

This fantastic oil, derived from the seed of the Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) plant or the jojoba shrub, a perennial native to the North American deserts, Jojoba oil features heavily in most of our products because we swear by it! This highly underrated oil boasts multiple benefits which we feel are often overlooked

  • It has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce redness caused by drying which in turn help keep chafing and chapping in check, while also soothing and calming your skin
  • With the highest level of antioxidants, minerals and nutrients like Vitamin E & B-complex vitamins all of which nourish and protect your skin, It also helps ease effects of eczema and rosacea
  • Non-comedogenic (non pore clogging) in nature, Jojoba Oil is quite similar to our own skins natural oils and absorbs into it quickly and helps with skin repair and damage control without leaving a greasy residue, while also tricking skin into thinking it has sufficient oil thus balancing oil production without triggering acne or other skin problems
  • Jojoba Oil doesn’t evaporate like water-based emulsions or moisturisers, being a long-acting layer of moisture barrier for your skin proving crucial when your skin is exposed while ALSO soothing sunburn! I mean is there anything this oil can’t do??
  • If all of this wasn’t enough in convincing you that Jojoba Oil is our underrated hero - Here’s another fact - It naturally deters microbes, helping prevent the growth of bacteria on skin - so if you’re prone to acne - This one’s for you!
  • It has been tested and proven that Jojoba Oil increases the skin's suppleness, helps slow down the appearance of ageing- fine lines and wrinkles and continued use of Jojoba Oil resulted in reducing superficial facial lines.
  • A natural preservative - Boom, mic drop

Do you really need more reasons to implement Jojoba Oil in your routine?

Really?
